Osteocare Plus
Osteocare Plus combines the original Osteocare tablet with an Omega-3 Soy Isoflavones and capsules in a convenient 2-in-1 dual pack.
Osteocare Original tablets
Osteocare is the UK's No.1 calcium formula and has been scientifically developed on the basis of the very latest research to provide a rich source of calcium, magnesium, zinc and vitamin D which contribute to the maintenance of normal bones.
Osteocare’s unique formula provides calcium (800mg) with essential magnesium (300mg), together with other important nutrients:
- Calcium, magnesium, Vitamin D and zinc which contributes to the maintenance of normal bones
- Magnesium also contributes to normal functioning of the nervous system and muscle function
Osteocare Plus contains the preferred D3 form of Vitamin D. Vitamin D3, also known as cholecalciferol, is the form of vitamin D that is produced by the skin on exposure to sunlight. D3 is the preferred form of vitamin D because it is the specific form made in the human body and therefore more effective than D2 which is found in some supplements.
Improved formula now with extra vitamin D3
This improved formula has been developed in line with the latest ‘Vitamin D and Bone Health’ guidelines (NOS, 2018) for regular maintenance intake, providing 35μg of vitamin D3. Alongside magnesium, calcium, zinc, plus four additional supporting nutrients.
Omega-3 & Isoflavones capsules
Each Osteocare Plus capsule provides:
- Additional vitamin D which contributes to normal absorption and utilization of calcium
- Vitamin C which contributes to normal collagen formation for the normal function of bones and cartilage
- Essential fatty acids DHA* & EPA* which contribute to normal heart function
*A beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 250mg of DHA & EPA
Calcium plus co-factors
Osteocare Plus provides 100% NRV (Nutrient Reference Value) of calcium (based on two tablets) carefully combined with co-factors, vitamin D, zinc and magnesium.
Calcium is important for everyone
Ensuring an adequate intake of calcium is vital for men and women of all ages, as evidence suggests that healthy practices early in life, including the adequate consumption of calcium and trace elements, contribute to greater bone strength and optimal bone mineralisation. Peak bone mass, obtained during childhood and adolescent growth is known to be of major importance in maintaining the strength and integrity of bones later in life. The UK Department of Health recommends that everyone should consider taking a daily supplement containing of vitamin D, particularly during autumn and winter. (Source: NHS Choices).
